OK so I've been a complete bellend and ordered it haven't I.

Predictions?

I think this is Anthony Joshua's first real test, but I have no doubt that he'll beat Johnson. Probably tko round 5.

Brook will beat Gavin comfortably.

someone in the pub last night said you can get a good price on Kevin Johnson managing to get to the 6th round, im sure he said 12s but that sounds a bit generous, seeing as how hes taken some real big hitters the distance.

RE: Boxing tonight - CheshireSeasider - 30-05-2015 13:24

Cant see too many surprises to be honest, the only `shock` if you can call it that will be Kevin Mitchell will freeze up, get beat and perennially blame issues outside of the ring.

Johnson took Vitali Klitscho the distance a few years ago. Never been stopped, getting on a bit now though at 35.

I expect AJ to beat him, and probably even stop him, but this is easily the best opponent he's faced. You'd expect him to step up in class each fight of course.

Brook is going to teach Gavin a lesson I think.

Looking forward to it, bottled it with the ppv though, as usual!

RE: Boxing tonight - foggy - 30-05-2015 15:56

I'm disappointed in you Magic. These PPV events are bullshit and Eddie Hearn should hang his head in shame at trying to coax 15 quid out of this card.

Each Matchroom fighter tonight bar Kevin Mitchell is a clear favourite

Scott Cardle - 1/4
John Wayne Hibbert - 5/8
John Ryder - 8/13
Lee Selby - 4/11
Kevin Mitchell - 21/20
Anthony Joshua - 1/200
Kell Brook - 1/12

The main event on a PPV card is a 1/12 favourite!

Hearn keeps doing it because it's working and Matchroom/Sky are making money from it. The Cleverly v Bellew PPV was an embarrassment yet here we are again, so it was obviously a success. Everyone complains but still pays their money. The market needs to tell Hearn that this isn't what it wants. The only way to do that is to keep your money in your pocket and boycott it.

RE: Boxing tonight - Magic147 - 30-05-2015 16:11

I completely, 100% agree.

I'll boycott when everyone else does!

RE: Boxing tonight - foggy - 30-05-2015 16:14

It's easy to boycott, just get a stream or go to the pub and watch it.

RE: Boxing tonight - Magic147 - 30-05-2015 16:42

I don't really do streams due to past frustrations, and I have the wee one this evening so the pub is unfortunately out of the question.

It's OK, I've saved a few quid on season tickets these past few years!

Yeah, with so much of this bollocks in sport I guess you have to pick your battles.

RE: Boxing tonight - MR-DD - 30-05-2015 17:17

What times main event?

RE: Boxing tonight - CheshireSeasider - 30-05-2015 18:19

RE: Boxing tonight - Magic147 - 30-05-2015 19:05

Cleverley just won with a disgusting body shot. Looks sharp again at light heavyweight.

RE: Boxing tonight - seanmacca100 - 30-05-2015 19:59

That was special from Lee Selby.

Selby was superb then, great performance.

Mitchell is going to lose this.
