Wish you were here!
The long range is three months of dry and very hot weather. Let's see shall we.

A decent summer wouldn’t go amiss after that crap winter.

I had a poo earlier that was worryingly large.

Knowing it was a substantial deposit, I flushed before dropping any toilet paper, and the beastly thing blocked the toilet with no paper assistance.

Must have weighed a stone.

Lucky bastard. I’ve not had a good shit like that in years. Most of mine are runny in my twilight years.

Back to topic, pretty shit, really.
15 hours supervising " clients" lounging in the sun, playing bowls, complaining about poor TV reception, or not enough channels available, no heating in dorms overnight, late delivery of newspapers, limited access to (official) phones /gym/visits from family, not enough food and too much scrutiny from staff.
Just got home.
Is it too late for un verre de vin?

Decent. Tying up a few loose ends at work before flying to Oregon for a week in a beach cottage. I need to smell the ocean and fall asleep to the sound of waves.

RE: How was your day?
Well, I've had an absolutely wonderful few days.

Wednesday evening was a work meal in Birmingham, followed by a couple of drinks. Nothing wild, nothing dangerous.

Last pub we were in it was just me and a colleague Paul left, only early on so perfectly well balanced and ready to head back to the hotel.

I go to the bog, and Paul is nowhere to be seen, so evidently he's just one of those guys who gets out of there when he's ready to go - fine.

So on the way back to my hotel I'm getting more and more pissed, it's weird because as well as the meal I'd probably had about 7 or 8 drinks in total, nothing extravagant just bottles of beer.

Anyway I'm absolutely smashed in the end - next thing I remember I wake up in hospital, check my online banking and £4k in short term loans had been applied for and paid into my account and the same withdrawn in cash. There were also 2 other loans declined for another £2k each and apparently the day I left the hospital someone went into a branch saying they're my cousin and trying to withdraw more.

Turns out I'd been slipped methodone in that last pub and this is quite a common gang thing in Birmingham.

I feel absolutely shite today still, missed the England game and a night out with a mate, had to explain it all to the Mrs and the boss, and all that jazz.

Called the cops, went into the bank, called all the loan companies etc and it'll be sorted in the end. Right pain in the arse though!

Still, at least I missed the England game.
