South Shore Open Air Pool seen during it's heyday, with a backdrop of the South Shore area of Blackpool. The pool was opened in the summer of 1924 but was demolished in 1984 to make way for The @SandcastleWater which was opened in 1986 .

Aerial view of South Shore taken in 1934 shows the vast expanse of undeveloped land in Harrowside. Taken before the Solarium was built on the empty plot, and when the Marine Promenade, opened in 1926.

Took the tram from Talbot square a few times, they did make a racket when a little further up they negotiated the bend from Abingdon street/Church street.

That Bloomfield Road picture from 1986 brings back so many memories for me. Q Block was just above that ticket office. I even remember that mini bus.

The President's long-serving and trusted assistant, the very low-key Hope Hicks, wore a tuxedo to the state dinner in Japan this week.
