RE: Boxing thread
In a fight between one of the best boxers ever, and some other guy, I'm gonna go with the former.

Miguel Cotto is one of the best technical boxers I have ever seen. He didn't land a punch on Mayweather. Canelo punches like a mule and probably had 15-20 pounds on him on fight night, and I've rarely seen a man look more abject and deflated in the ring when he fought Floyd.

This might cause a stir, but in boxing, I doubt Mcgregor could win domestic honours.

Eubank winning comfortably against Abraham.

Underwhelming, though, somehow.

Yeah he is doing well. I can't help feel that Abraham has a punch in him yet. Eubank will surely tire after all these punches.

Always been a volume puncher. He just doesn't excite me for some reason.

Not sure how many of these punches are causing real damage. He just looks tired

Agreed, lots of punches but only the odd 1 effective.

Still winning him the fight though.

He's a dickhead, just watch him in the corner between rounds, cocky little cunt.

I'd batter him*.

Didn't watch it live but watched it back this morning.
Abraham has always been an absolute tank, and punches just seem to bounce off him as he continues to March forward.
CEJ punch volume is usually very high and throws from all kinds of mad angles. Defensively though I think he's majorly flawed and leaves himself exposed a lot of the time with his dicking about and showboating mid round.

Which of our 3 british lads do you think will go furthest in the World Super Series though? Callum Smith, George Groves or CEJ?
Of the 3, Eubank is probably more of a Middleweight than SM but I think Groves is more of an all round better fighter so would back him but Smiths power and Eubanks technique and raw ability, any of the 3 could win it.

Groves will go all the way I think. Class above the other 2, although that's only because Callum Smith hasn't been properly tested yet - he might turn out to be the best of the lot. This tournament could be the making of him.

I'm getting close to wanting them both to lose.
