Circus. Expect an absolute landslide points victory for floyd when he lands combination after combination without counter.
Easy nights work.

Who's gonna win this ^ Magic? Asking for a friend who's at The Mandalay Bay and wants to 'bet' but hates casino gambling. My answer was 'toss a coin'.

Ward again I think, but it's far from 1 sided.
If Kov imposes himself and makes it a brawl it could be a very difficult night for Ward.

The smart money will go on Ward by UD.

I'd love it if Kova knocked him out though!

New information has come to light.

Conor McGregor is going to win.

Get money on it.

If anyone is into MMA by the way Gokhan Saki, one of the best kickboxers going, has just signed for UFC. Expect him to kick ass.

Also, check Saki's highlights, he's a beast.

Mandatory pints of Guinness between rounds?

No, there's more logic than that.
  • Floyd hasn't had a decent fight since Canelo in 2014 (Pacquiao was injured and landed more punches)
  • He certainly hasn't faced a puncher like McGregor for years, he has power like nobody Mayweather has faced, certainly recently
  • Floyd has always found southpaws difficult
  • Mayweather has never faced McGregor's style before, his wide-stanced style will allow him to strike from distances and angles than Mayweather just isn't used to
  • McGregor closes distances, hits and gets out again better than most boxers and as above in a completely different way
  • McGregor is bigger
  • McGregor is younger

There are probably more reasons, but I can't see past a McGregor win.

RE: Boxing thread
I just hate to validate it. I'm probably just being an old fuddy duddy and 'all-styles open' is the boxing of the future. I've never liked Mayweather and quite like what little I've seen and heard from the Irish chap, so I should 'support' the non-boxer. Just can't. I'm clinging to the romance of the heavyweight champion of the world also being the actual hardest guy on the planet.

I can see the logic in the superbly rendered bullet points above. I've never liked boxers stepping back in the ring at 40, but they are notoriously shit at retiring so it happens too often. There's the big question mark. Not being too pathetic or sad is the best you can hope for with a great fighter coming back. This already feels a bit sad.

I've seen clips but never watched UFC or MMA fights, so as per, talking out my arse. Might be some action round here betting against Mayweather with the locals if you're that convinced?

I'm just trying to make a case for McGregor I think, it'll improve my enjoyment of the occasion!

In reality he has very little chance, but everyone who steps in the ring has a chance, and especially someone with McGregor's striking ability. I'm backing McGregor with a little bet to make it interesting, but I certainly won't be surprised when I lose!

A striker has 0 chance in a ring
A boxer has a punchers chance in the octagon
Boxing is the art of hitting and not being hit not just pummelling somebody into submission. Different skill sets needed.
