We beat everyone at home that season. It was our away form that cost us automatic promotion.

And we sung about for weeks after. We beat the scum 5-2!

We probably don't refer to Burnley as scum these days do we. Back then I hated them more than I do now that's for sure. Still always want them to lose but scum is only reserved for the Nobbers. I know others will also refer to Bolton as scum.

Used to be some good games with rather large crowds between us back then, when we still had the longside and your ground had to be closed if the wind got above 30MPH Laugh

League game mate. It was the first season they renamed all the leagues. We beat Scunthorpe in the play-off final then moved up to League 2 from League 4. Could say it was a bad day all round for me.
