Also, Corbyn's line today to his MPs is right. If you block this, you are forcing 3 more years of Tory government. How on Earth can an opposition party do that.

And if you don't block this, you are forcing 5 more years of Tory government.
Cheesey face thingy.

Every election ever has been fought between an incumbent party who won the 'democratic will of the people' and an opposition party whose entire platform is to overturn that. Your statement is utterly bizarre and nonsensical.

I'm going to keep fighting and voting for what I believe in, and stick a big two-fingers up at any person who says I can't do that because the last vote didn't turn out my way. What a pathetic, insecure and scared response that is.

Leavers voted to overturn the 1975 democratic will of the people. I don't hear you calling them anti-democratic.

Just to let you know, if you were a regular poster and I didn't think you could overturn it I'd have given you a ban for this.

At least the last ranting nonsense you spouted got deleted.

Well if they believe the pollsters and your own figures showing a a larger blue chamber at Westminster, by voting for it they will be enforcing FIVE years of Tory government instead of just three, now why would an opposition party do that.

Seriously? Fucking go for it. I'm sure once I'm banned my mod controls disappear too.

The cult of being offended by everything strikes again.

The fun police are out in force tonight. Do I have to pull out the 'my son has asperger's' card or can we all just agree not to get our knickers in a twist over nothing of consequence?

Xenophobic, magic? I don't hate or fear foreigners for being foreign. I spend half my working life teaching Indian and Bangladeshi students. I've sat in an officer's mess on board ship where very single person at the table was from a different corner of the globe. Having concerns about a particular political ideology being imported isn't xenophobic, wanting control over borders isn't xenophobic; it's bloody sensible.

Foggy quoted..Leavers voted to overturn the 1975 democratic will of the people. I don't hear you calling them anti-democratic.

No, I voted to leave in 1975 the undemocratic Common Market that they joined in 1973 without my consent.
Did you know that the ideology of the EU was Hitler's plan B if he didn't get domination form the battle field?

Waiting with tin hat on.

So democracy is like an MOT, it's only valid at the time of the test?

Your argument is specious and you know it.

Referenda are specific questions put to the electorate. In 1975 the British public were asked whether we should join the European Community. They said yes; so we did. In 2016 they were asked whether we should leave the European Union. We said yes. What you are suggesting is that we shouldn't follow through on the results of that vote. Of course that is anti democratic.

A referendum represents the highest possible democratic ideal because by its very nature it is a single issue being directly decided upon by the electorate. At a general election parties stand on a whole host of platforms and manifesto pledges. Very few people vote for a party on a single issue.

Pulling out the big guns now. Show me a single time I've been racist. Because if I am, I will hold my hands up and apologise but that's some serious shit to be levelling at anyone. If you are going to slander me you must have some proof, surely?

The post you're referring to Cheesy wasn't by Magic, it was mine. Deleted it after an edit and couldn't be arsed rewriting.
But, in a nutshell I was supporting munkles post flaming you for using a disability to strengthen your argument. Not a million miles from our illustrious leader using the word retard to bolster his.
Apologies if I used the xenophobia word inappropriately as I'm not a word smith like yourself, however if anyone can find a word to describe "someone that uses words to undermine people with learning difficulties or abuses religious groups repetitively " then edit the fuck away Wink

You suggested that Islam was an aggressive religion that doesn't believe in peace.

And when I say "suggested", what I mean is "said".
