For two pins if I hadn't followed this club for such a long time I could quite easily walk away and give it up.
It just makes me sick taking these folk to court.

RE: Woodward v Grice
Folks -
Preston fan here. I get NAPM and want to see a healthy Blackpool, and reinstate footballing rivalry between two great clubs. Haven't posted for ages a) not my club, though I care about football and community and b) too much hostility - from PNE fans on here!

I have what I hope is a helpful suggestion. You should really tap the power of the crowd/the BFC community and set up a fund to help this fan. Crowdfunding is no more than a 21C name for a whip-round on the internet, but a platform can have a wide reach - and can help you get broader moral as well as financial support. I think something similar was attempted for one of your OAP fans on the wrong end of a judgment.

Anyway, here's a link. Hope it helps.

There was initially talk of a go fund/just giving page but I've also heard that AG may have to claim bankruptcy which would mean Woodward getting nothing so any funds collected would scupper that

Just what I've read elsewhere!!

What a bunch of hypocrites you are! So when an Oyston accuses a fan who works in a casino of being a thief you lot are up in arms. Said oyston pays out £20k and you call it justice. What's different between that and some donkey lasher saying a solicitor has been struck off? He gets sued for £18k and will hopefully learn a lesson. Well deserved fine, he should stop moaning. Made your bed, lie in it

The key difference is that Andy gave young Sam multiple opportunities to apologise and call it a day, but Sam forced him to take it to court. The Oystons give no such opportunity to the fans they target, and in Andy's case it was targeting.

Don't get involved in something you know nothing about you absolute fucking cretin.

Well that was nice of Andy to give Sam the chance to apologise but he needn't of done that. Sam said something that could of cost Andy his job and he quite rightly sued him. This guy as said something (more than once I might had) that could of caused the solicitor to potentially lose work and again he quite rightly sued. It's as simple as that! If you do no wrong there is no need to apologise, but he did do wrong and he stupidly posted it on the internet and as a result he has got his just desserts. It might not fit in to your twisted agenda Magic, were everything the Oystons do is deplorable and everything you lot do is admirable but unfortunately he did it, he's been punished and he must not pass go and pay £18k. If you mugs wanna pay his fine then have at it.

Haha, you fucking tit. You think the posters on A View From The Turnips were going to employ Woodward at some point in the future, and after seeing Andy's post decided not to?

Biggrin

Priceless.

It's not a fantastically tight grip on reality that you have, is it?

Thanks for the laugh though.
