Prediction League rules 2017/18
We are changing the rules this year to what we feel is a fairer way of doing things.

So as usual predict the score and the first Blackpool player to score for Blackpool.
You do not need to say No goal scorer is predicting Blackpool nil.

Points will be awarded as follows

Correct result.. 3 points
Correct score... 2 points in addition to the 3 points

Correct goal scorer.. 2 points, this will only be awarded if you predict the correct score.

In the event of a cup match the score at 90 minutes will count.

Good luck!

Wait, so if I were to predict 6-1, and it was, but I got the goalscorer wrong I end up with less points than someone who predicted a 1-0 win?

NO. if you correctly predict a 6-1 win you will get 5 points, someone who predicted a 1-0 win will get 3 points.

Ah okay, wasn't sure if the 3 and 2 for score and result were mutually exclusive.

Cheers!

Don't know if anybody is interested in a prediction league for the prem, but I've fixed one up on the BBC Sport site. The league looks after itself cos it's so simple that there's no mathematical genius needed, have a look and see what you think.

Already involved in a lot of football games like this. Will give it a look and maybe give it a go if I remember! Judging by how I do here, I won't score well!

Yeah you can get involved in a lot, I'm also into all competitions. I run the Fantasy football comp on an Everton Forum. The predictor is very simple ... 10 points for any correct result and a bonus 40 points if you give the correct score.
I can post the league on here at regular occasions to keep you informed of how you stand. A good bit of fun.
Bill.

For cup games, like tonight, it's the scores at the end of 90 minutes right? So not after extra time if it comes to that.
