No surprises then.

The Premier League is too interested in being a 'global showcase' league than anything else.

Feel for Chelsea. They played well over the 2 legs. Messi was the difference

Chelsea will regret some of the individual mistakes and Rio called it right saying Chelsea missed a top striker.

Messi is simply the best player in the world and I doubt we will ever see a better player.

Gareth Bale? Biggrin

Just kidding, him and Cristiano Ronaldo are a joy to watch.

Bloody hell. Great fixture but could have done with the English sides avoiding each other.

City will win it this year. I think only juve will cause any issues!

I hope it's one of those legendary euro nights at Anfield when You'll Never Walk Alone sung with passion late in the match proves to be the difference. Slightly conflicted because City obviously offer the best chance for an English side to put up a fight outside the country.

That England World Cup squad is hardly inspiring.

Anfield is a very special place on a European night and Liverpool are just one of those clubs that seem to do well in the competition.

After beating Watford so resoundingly today, would not bet against them.

The City atmosphere won't compete with Anfield but unfortunately they will be too good.

Should be a cracking game tonight at Anfield. You would think that it would be a cagey affair but I don't think either team knows how to play defensively.
