Emergency General Meeting Update
In response to the momentous judgment in the Belokon/Oyston case, Blackpool Supporters Trust has called an Extraordinary General Meeting for this Saturday 11th November at The Excelsior, Lytham Rd, starting at 12.30pm. There is only one agenda item: the Judgment. The meeting is intended to provide an opportunity for a Q&A about the judgment plus a discussion about fans’ concerns and preferences and the Trust’s ongoing strategy.

Because it has been convened at such short notice (less than the 14 days required by our constitution) it will be an informational meeting only and no resolutions can be put or voted on at this time – though another meeting could be scheduled for later in the month if required.

It is planned to broadcast the meeting live on the internet (technology permitting); failing that, audio will be recorded and posted online after the event and a summary of the EGM will be posted on the BST website.

If you have questions or opinions but are unable to attend, please email your input before 09.00 on Saturday to secretary@blackpoolsupporterstrust.com.

BST will also be live on Fylde Coast Radio this Friday evening 10th November at 6pm, Radio Lancashire breakfast show Saturday 11th at approx 7.20am and then on Talksport - The Two Mikes - live from the Excelsior at 12.15pm.

We hope that everyone will then join us at 2.30pm outside the West stand main entrance for our Armistice Day Remembrance observance.

I wouldn’t have a clue what to do.

If it’s easyenough, why doesn’t someone do this as standard?

Quote:Pool supporters anything but a busted flush This week has been at utterly momentous one for Blackpool Football Club - up there with the famous FA Cup final win in 1953 and the life-changing - or what it should have been - promotion to the Premier League in 2010. Let's remember it wasn't long ago that Karl Oyston called the Blackpool Supporters' Trust a "busted flush", adding that their numbers are dwindling. If only he could have been at The Excelsior pub on Saturday as hundreds of supporters struggled to find space to stand for their Extraordinary General Meeting which was called in response to this week's hugely significant news. So many were in attendance the latecomers were forced to listen on from the stairway outside. There's still a long way to go but if/when the club is eventually sold, there's a hell of a lot of extremely passionate and knowledgeable people that deserve a say in the future running of the football club.
