Nile Ranger
SOUTHEND United have terminated Nile Ranger’s contract.

The controversial striker scored 10 goals in 49 games while with the Shrimpers.

But the club have now decided to release him from Roots Hall.

A club statement said: “Following a meeting yesterday with Nile Ranger the club has today terminated the player's contract in accordance with the terms of the agreement.

“This decision was taken following recurring disciplinary issues, including timekeeping, which undermine both the unity of the group and the management.

I think that's it for Ranger. Surely he won't get another chance now.

Someone else will sign him up for the 3 month honeymoon period before he breaks out the gangster signs.

I remember him coming on for Newcastle at Bloomfield Rd on a Tuesday night.
He was like a younger Andy Carrol but with a better touch and turn of pace.
The only excuse that would wash with me would be for him to come out and say he absolutely detest football, anything else and he is the bell end we all know he is.
