Isn't the ground listed as a community asset or something that gives a degree of protection?

You are correct. However the decisions are made by politicians etc. I would not rely on them.
The club and stadium both need to be out of the grasp of the filth who currently own it.

It’s in a shit area right in the middle of a huge plot of land that’s ripe for redevelopment.

I’d say it’s an investors dream.

A 30,000 capacity stadium would be fantastic (something along the lines of the Stadium of Light/Riverside Stadium), but where would you place it?

It would surely be too big for the present site to accommodate, and (ironically!) you'd end up bulldozing Back Henry Street and the houses behind the East Stand.

That could well mean a move out of town (possibly towards Mereside?) which could detract from the atmosphere - Plastic Bowl arenas have a reputation of being soul-less after all. I can't see where else we could move to - the only other site which springs to mind is the old Pontin's site but I think that's been built upon?

Provided the Oyston's are gone, I am more than happy with calling Bloomfield Road home.

I'd move it to Leeds, personally.

If the land was re-developed and the ground made more concert friendly it could be a great venue.

Wasn’t there a huge problem with back Henry street?
One of the towns main sewers runs under it. Apparently it would cost hundreds of thousands to move.

One of the main sewers runs under your little stadium?

How ironic.

Achieving fuck all once again but acting like you’re one of the more rencently successful local clubs.

Tonight Mathew, we’re going to be, ( take your pick )

Blackpool
Blackburn
Burnley
Bolton
Wigan
Everton
Liverpool
Man City
Man United

In reality you’ve done nothing more than,
Stockport
Tranmere
Bury
