RE: RIP Jimmy
One of the GREATEST ever, terrible shame that Blackpool F.C. ... no amend that ! Football in general is no longer as it used to be in Jimmy Armfield times.

R.I.P. Jimmy Armfield...SIR is more fitting for this true gentleman of Football.

It's always events like this where rivalries are put aside. Some nice tributes on PNE Online.

A great Blackpool man. Great sportsman. Gentleman Jim. He got me hooked on football.
Stuff the O's. I think the supporters should turn out in force next home game and salute Sir Jim. That would show what could happen when the O's are gone. So what if the O's get more gate money from one game. Jim needs to be honoured and remembered.

Because the best way to remember a legendary former player of the club, is to hand over fistfuls of cash to the people that destroyed it.

RIP Jimmy.

As ever, I will once again remind people who don't understand what Not A Penny More means. It doesn't mean 'just a few pennies more under these circumstances'. It means not a penny more. It's quite simple.

It's important we have legends like Jimmy, it reminds us the club is 130 years old, with a rich history. It's much, much bigger than that family.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Oyston's didn't bother with a tribute.

Steed. Your comment shows the extent of the bitterness and I can understand that. However I am saying that for one day there can be a gesture of solidarity with the club, not the Oystons.
