Someone broke into the boarded up Wardleys and started growing cannabis on a grand scale.

Sounds about right!

Even as a kid I was never sure how that place stayed open! Still, some good memories. Even when I drove through Hambleton a few years ago it had changed a fair amount. It's sad when you go back to these places you have fond memories off and see how, in a lot of cases, they've changed.

Back on topic though, they always did have shit pub food there Laugh

It must have been a grand scale to fit enough plants on it to make some money.

Was it a kitchen scale, or a bathroom scale?

Who would pay a grand for a scale?

Had a 30% off voucher for the Golden Eagle so gave it a try over the weekend. The kitchen extractors still weren't working. So it was a case of struggling to breathe whilst attempting to eat one of the worse steaks imaginable. 3 meals between us and they were all shite.

Why waste lime on a scale when you can put it in a coconut?

It’s breaking the law to use gas in a commercial kitchen with no extract and intake fans running!
There are certain laws that state the air exchange to the size of the room.

Not that any punter will be arsed.

Punters will be arsed when one dies of CO poisoning.

Definitely a health risk. I did tell a couple of the staff that they shouldn't have to work under those conditions. The excuse from the management is that they are soon to have a major refit. Either way, no excuse for the food being shite

Sign of the times when a pub food thread makes me want to visit more than a football thread.
