An average championship team if they played in England.

It’s the others in the league holding Celtic back. In three season they will hold every record possible in Scottish football.
Not bad going eh?

Breaking records they still not made 54. All I read on social media is from Celtic fans slagging Gerrard off a guy they liked before yesterday it shows you how stupid and fickle Celtic fans really are.. And hero I don't for one minute think you are Celtic fan you are just a keyboard warrior and a Wum a bit like Westy till he got found out Hows your nappy today? Watch what you do with those pins

I’m not a Celtic fan, I’m a Blackpool one. As you well know, every football fan has a preference when it comes to the old firm and mine is Celtic.
My family are catholic and my Dad took me to a Celtic game when I was about 12ish. He always liked Celtic because of 67 but he is a Bolton fan first and foremost!!

Am I a Celtic fan, maybe.... just. Do I support them at all costs, no not even close!

The same as Rangers in the 90’s then? The league was fine until Rangers couldn’t pay their taxes I fail to see how that’s Celtic’s fault tbh.

You can't compare. If Celtic or Rangers were in the Premier League, they would have a lot more dosh!

Definitely, but at that time Celtic gave them some competition. I’ve never said it was celtics fault, but the way some of the fans celebrated winning the league, you’d think it was a much harder league.
Celtic were instrumental in getting rangers punished by relegation down to the bottom league.
Just saying as it is.

Yes ! But it’s not good going either.
As entertainment is crap, and as when they play in Europe they are shown to their true level.
They are richer than most championship clubs , but certainly not better.

But Celtic are rich now. They don’t have any competition, so the likes of Leeds, Cardiff, wolves, would all comfortably win the majority of games against them.

we have £30m cash at bank atm which, when compared to lets say West Brom for example who'll get £100m for going down in one season, isnt a lot.

Wolves are much richer than us, Cardiff will be as soon as they go up, same with Fulham, Villa and the like. We cant pay the transfer fees they are paying given the TV Money right now but we spend wisely for what we have simply because if we didnt spend carefully at the moment, and then next season missed out on Europe there'd be a £30m gaping hole.

Celtic fans look at the likes of Basel, Olympiakos and so on as the models going forward European wise.

Celtic gave them no competition, Celtic nearly went out of business whilst Rangers spent tens of millions on stars like Gazza.

Of course fans are going to celebrate winning a title against their bitter rivals why wouldnt they regardless of circumstance? Celtic fans are enjoying getting their own back given it was roles reversed not so long ago.

they weren't relegated. The new entity was rejected re-application to the League by a vote of 10 clubs against and 2 clubs for re-entry I believe. The entire league rejected the idea and rightly so. They shouldn't have got preferential treatment just because they're a bigger club.

I know for people outside of interest in the Scottish game it seems boring but people within the game and with vested interests are positive about where we're heading, lots of the clubs outside the big 2 are enjoying financial success, new stadiums, higher attendances and good storylines. Steve Clarke at Kilmarnock just one example.

People dont kid themselves the standard in Scotland is poor but the entertainment value is definitely there for many. The race for Europe right now post-split is exciting, likewise the relegation play off battle. You only have to look across Europe to see one team is flying away in most, doesn't mean the rest of the stuff up for grabs isnt entertaining.

There's my staunch defence of Scottish football Laugh

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had some enjoyable evening watching some football up there. When I used to work away I went to a few teams. Non of them in Glasgow. I have seen hearts, Aberdeen, Dunfermline and Motherwell. The standard was probably championship, better than pool at that time.

Heard a rumour today that Rooney was possibly joining Slippy at Rangers. I hope it comes off.
He's shit enough now so imagine how bad he'd be after living on a diet of deep-fried Mars bars.
