European Superleague takes over and British lower league clubs as we now know them cease to exist.

The exception to this is Blackpool FC, which was protected from closure when a vast oilfield was discovered directly under Bloomfield Road leading to the small Lancashire club becoming more valuable than all other football clubs combined.

I worked on the car park next to Bloomfield Road when they were redeveloping the ground. We were putting drains and footpaths in. Thing is you would dig say 4 ft down and still be in good hard ground go deeper than that and it was just black shite ( hence the name Blackpool). So you are not a million miles away with the thought of oil under Bloomfield Road. P.S. Don't tell JR Oyston about this or he'll never go.
