Whatever happens now, the lads should be full of pride when they come home. Realistically we were all saying quarters at best, including me. Yes the big sides have gone but we can't use that as a negative.

Happy for Southgate. What a likeable fella.

Shame Pickford isn't as good as that Pope fella that 77 wanted to replace him with.

Obviously Mike taught him everything he knows about football

So happy he has proved some of the doubters wrong including myself. His distribution as well as shot stopping was first class. Always said he was a good keeper, was just worried about wrong decisions. This experience will make him such a better keeper.

Really great performance there. Totally dominated the game and Pickford was top class when we made mistakes.

Off to Benidorm on Tuesday, so will watch the semi and the final (hopefully with England in it) there.

77 knows jack. He changes his club more than I change my jollies.

Can someone tell 77 that this is Barry Davies's last world cup and there's a job going for a pundit with a knowledgable grasp of the game, especially the goalkeeping element.

Sweden manager;
""England are absolutely good enough to win the World Cup. They are forceful and well organised. Congratulations to both the team and the coach. They are a good side, who did not give a lot of openings."

Clap
