Sterling is only 23, in a couple of years' time once he has more of a final ball he'll be dynamite, maybe even world class.

Same goes for the rest of the youngsters really, very promising and great experience.

Can't see it myself. Look at Mbappi. Raw and does some random things but he makes a difference now.

I actually like Oxlade Chamberlain and I think he was a big miss although easy to say that now.

Has Henderson ever run past an opposing player with the ball?
Why did Southgate keep picking Alli when all he does is jog around the pitch?

I think we were playing with 9 men tonight. Anyway Croatia deserved to win as they were sharper than England from the beginning of the second half onwards

Let’s face facts..We played shite teams to reach the semifinals and were then beaten by a nation of 4 million who have a shite League with only 2 teams anyone’s ever heard of. How can we get carried away with that. Any half decent side would have got to the semis playing who we played. We will never have a better chance again and we blew it.

I agree with Q and probably many others. Best chance in decades. We had them by the throat running rings around them only missing finishing...again. At halftime they made adjustments that worked and we didn't.

We fucking blew it big time.

One of the most enjoyable World Cups ever. Great entertainment.

The England midfield were a total nonentity. They were outplayed, out fought and out classed by Modric.

So we move on to the most pointless game in football, feel sorry for them having to play in it.

The club managers will be on the phone to Southgate telling him not to play their players
