I tend to agree, if Disley was not FUL,LY in the picture re the fans returning with Oyston being anywhere near Bloomfield road or with any involvement following a deal, at least the meeting would have put him straight on that score.

I do not believe they necessarily learnt anything from Disley but it certainly allowed them to get the BST message across. and they didn't surely need a mandate from the members to do that.

Maybe Disley doesn't care about attendance revenue, he's more interested in the fact that the real assets may be up for grabs and has plans that do not include football at all.

Well said. I think we all know BST have the interests of BFC at their forefront so what's the problem. It's not like we haven't got enough to moan about. Maybe it's become a way of life for some.

If every decision had to be put to a vote, nothing would ever get done. Really don't know why people are getting worked up over this.

Oyston will having a good laugh tonight.

DIsley isn't the sort of person we want running the club, I think he would be close to being as bad as the Oystons

Disley was jailed for four-and-a-half years for a £675,000 bank fraud. Preston Crown Court heard a gang, headed by Disley, targeted companies which were in financial difficulty, took them over and stripped them of their assets. However, last year Disley’s conviction was later quashed at the Court of Appeal. In December 2015, he was pictured with Dean Holdsworth at the time his company Sports Shield Consortium were launching their takeover of Bolton Wanderers. Any involvement in the club was never confirmed.

I fear you may be correct based on what has been publicised about him in the press. However I am more than happy to be proved wrong, time will most definitely tell.

What if this is some sort of equity release situation.

Disney loans Owen the balance of what's owed to Val. In exchange Owen signs an agreement stating that his shares in BFC Properties transfer to Disney on death in payment for the loan and rolled up interest between now and the end of his life.

If such a deal were possible, then we'd be absolutely fucked. We'd have Owen remaining in control until he died and then this fat bald bloke (not me). It would truly be RIP BFC.
