Thanks for the score updates, DD. Audio wouldn't work across the pond, updates much appreciated.

It's preseason, no worries on drawing today. Building toward march fitness and team analysis for the coaching staff were achieved. The match I really want to win is tomorrow's anyway!

Looking forward to being able to watch the match tomorrow. Thankful to have the Testimonial available for us to see on the other side of the Seaside!

Worth the seven bucks (US) to me!Thumbsup2

Wonder how Gomez played against non-league players
Quote:A STRONG Blackpool side were held to a draw by Conference newboys Hyde.

The game was supposed to be for the club’s development squad. However a late change of heart by Ian Holloway saw half of the first team squad make the short trip to face last season’s Blue Square North champions.

Matt Gilks, Ian Evatt, Craig Cathcart, Tiago Gomes and Matt Phillips all started.

Chris Basham, who missed last week’s game against Wrexham, returned after an ankle injury.

Although Pool had the bulk of the possession, the first half was a bit of a non-event.

A Gomes effort which rattled the post was as close at the Seasiders came to breaking the deadlock.

The second half started in similar fashion, although it was the home side who took the lead.

Scott Spencer raced onto a long ball before slamming past Gilks on 58 minutes.

Phillips drew Pool level with a deflected effort on 60 minutes.

Former Bolton youngster James Caton was among the nine subs used by Pool as the game drew to a close.

Pool: Gilks, Basham (Caprice), Dodd, Cathcart, Evatt, Ferguson (Menagh), Robertson (Almond), Gomes (Tomsett), Phillips (Djeziri), Grandin (Thompson), Barkhuizen (Caton).

Subs: Kettings, Thompson, Djerziri, Almond, Challoner, Menagh, Addai and Caprice.
